Boon Edam secure order for the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs, Holland

Boon Edam has won an order to supply and install an impressive number of security and entrance products for the new accommodation of the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs in The Hague, Holland. The new building, designed by the German architect Hans Kollhoff will reach a height of 140 meters and will be completed in 2012.

The project will include 11 security portals (Circlelock), 14 security revolving doors (Tourlock) and 2 pedestrian security lanes (Speedlane 900) at various locations within this new 140 meter tall building. Boon Edam will also install 4 automatic revolving doors (Tourniket) within the main façade, creating an ‘always open, always closed’ energy efficient entrance.

In January 2010, after an extensive design and consultancy period, the order was finalized by JUBI, the company responsible for the construction project. Construction on the Ministry building began in 2008, and the Boon Edam security products and revolving doors will be installed in phases during June to August 2012. The project completion is planned for December 2012.
